Lee Westwood opened the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am with a 4-under-par 35-33=68 at Pebble Beach, good for very early possession of the clubhouse lead.
Westwood is making his 2013 PGA TOUR debut this week and did so with a bang. He hit 16 greens in regulation and buried five birdies against one bogey. His longest conversion dropped in from 13 feet at the ninth hole for birdie. He and his father, who is doubling as his amateur partner this week, will tee it up at Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Shore Course for Friday's second round.
