Padraig Harrington signed for an 8-under-par 30-33=63 in the third round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open to post the clubhouse lead at 16-under 197.
With Phil Mickelson on the course at 19-under, it's unlikely that he will sleep on the lead but it's not too shabby for his first crack at TPC Scottsdale. Harrington circled five birdies in his first eight holes including a six-yard birdie chip from the rough on the eighth. He surrounded his lone bogey on the 12th with birdies on 11 and 13, then created his loudest roar when he swept in an eagle putt from 9'3" on the par-5 18th. He will now sit back and wait to see where his brilliant round positions him headed into Sunday's finale.
