Yoenis Cespedes (hand) went 1-for-3 with a single and a strikeout Monday in his first minor league rehab game with Triple-A Sacramento.
Interestingly, Cespedes made the start in left field. However, Athletics manager Bob Melvin downplayed the possibility of an official position switch by saying that they are just keeping their options open. The Cuban outfielder will likely play another couple rehab games before returning from the disabled list Friday.
