Keegan Bradley smoothed an 8-under-par 31-32=63 in his second round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open to move the 36-hole clubhouse lead to 12-under 130.
Perhaps inspired by friend and mentor, Phil Mickelson, Bradley circled an eagle and seven birdies to offset a lone bogey at TPC Scottsdale today. His longest conversion of the round measured 20'10" for birdie at the 11th hole, but it was a sick run near the end of the his round that jumps off the page. He linked four consecutive birdies beginning at the fifth hole. Their distances in order were as follows: 12'3", 14'6", 17'3" and 10'3". It's worth mentioning that he opened with a bogey-free 67 that included four birdies. This is his first notable success since sharing fourth place at the 2013 lid-lifter at Kapalua. He followed that performance with a T49 at Waialae and a missed cut last week at Torrey Pines.
