C.J. Wilson will start Saturday against the Rangers after his outing on Friday was cut short due to a rain delay.
That's right, Wilson will get another crack against his former team this weekend. The southpaw threw 22 pitches over one-third of an inning Friday before a two-hour rain delay ended his night, so he should have plenty of bullets left. It's a pretty rare occurrence, as the last major league pitcher to start on back-to-back days was Aaron Myette with the Rangers back in 2002. There was some speculation that Jered Weaver would move up a day in the rotation, but he'll start as scheduled on Sunday.
