Tulowitzki (groin) expects to return Friday
Troy Tulowitzki - SS - Colorado Rockies

Troy Tulowitzki (groin) expects to return to the starting lineup Friday.

Tulo tweaked his groin while running to first base on Tuesday and will sit out Wednesday's game as a precaution. "It stinks not to be in there with the ways things are going. But they want to give me two straight days to let it calm down," said Tulowitzki. "They want to be smart about it." Rockies manager Jim Tracy said the injury first surfaced during spring training, so it appears to be a lingering issue, but hopefully two days of rest will do him some good. The 27-year-old shortstop is hitting .277/.344/.429 with three homers, 13 RBI and a .773 OPS across 125 plate appearances this year.
