Big Ben expects no-huddle, pass-first offense
Ben Roethlisberger - QB - Pittsburgh Steelers
May 9, 2012 - 12:25 PM ET

After meeting with new OC Todd Haley, Ben Roethlisberger is under the impression that the Steelers have no intention of reverting to a run-heavy, smashmouth offense.

"In these meetings I've had with coach Haley he's all about the no-huddle, and using our wide receiver weapons, and throwing the ball, and stuff like that," said Roethlisberger. "So I'm still confused [about the run-heavy perception]." The Steelers offensive personnel, especially with Rashard Mendenhall's (ACL surgery) early-season status in doubt, remains geared toward a pass-oriented attack. Haley's Cardinals finished second in the NFL in pass attempts in his only two years as offensive coordinator.
