Brett Gardner (elbow) will not begin his minor league rehab assignment on Monday because Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's game was rained out.
Gardner is expected to play at least two games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, so the rainout means he won't rejoin the Yankees until Thursday at the earliest. The speedy outfielder has been sidelined since mid-April due to a bone bruise in his right elbow.
