Report: Twins trying to trade Danny Valencia

Patrick Reusse of 1500ESPN.com reports that the Twins are trying to trade Danny Valencia.
They were already likely to demote him from an everyday role, as Jamey Carroll has been removed from his starting job at shortstop and slated to share time at second and third base. Valencia has been one of the worst major league regulars this season, batting just .224/.230/.341, and this is after he sported a .246/.294/.383 line in 2011. We can't imagine the Twins will find much of a market for him.
