Jeremy Guthrie will not be ready to start Tuesday against the Padres after he his throwing session Saturday was scrapped due to continued shoulder soreness.
"Jeremy was still somewhat tentative in a bullpen session (Friday)," Rockies manager Jim Tracy said. "What Doogie (trainer Keith Dugger) saw strongly suggested that we don't move forward yet and even attempt to throw to hitters." Guthrie probably won't be out much longer, but the Rockies will have to alter their immediate plans. They're likely to start Alex White on Tuesday and either Carlos Torres or Christian Friedrich Wednesday.
