Gomez diagnosed with left hamstring injury

Carlos Gomez was diagnosed with a left hamstring injury after leaving Friday's game in the fourth inning.
The Padres haven't made a decision on whether to place Gomez on the disabled list. "We'll wait and see how he is [Saturday] and then make a decision on what we need to do," manager Ron Roenicke said. "It looks like it's more than a day, but I don't think it's real bad." Gomez is nothing more than a platoon player when healthy.
