Cubs manager Dale Sveum said Kerry Wood (shoulder) could be used in the seventh inning when he returns from the disabled list.
Rafael Dolis holds a 3.38 ERA and 1.20 WHIP (though he's also walked eight over 13 1/3 innings), and the Cubs will likely keep him in a primary setup role for now and ease Wood back into the role. "Just to take a little stress off the whole situation, when he first comes back, we'll possibly just move him into the seventh inning role and see what happens there," Sveum said. Wood threw 22 pitches in a simulated game on Monday and will be activated on Thursday or Friday.
