Arkansas fired football coach Bobby Petrino on Tuesday, ESPN reported.

Petrino, 51, was had been on paid leave since not informing school officials that a 25-year-old female football program employee was riding with him during a March 31 motorcycle crash. Petrino, who is married, also admitted to an inappropriate relationship.

Arkansas finished last season No. 5 in the final Associated Press poll.
