Oosthuizen rallies; wins Volvo Golf Champions
Jan. 13, 2013 - 1:40 PM ET

With a 6-under-par 32-34=66 in his final round of the Volvo Golf Champions, Louis Oosthuizen recorded a one-stroke victory over 54-hole leader, Scott Jamieson.

Jamieson started the finale with a five-shot cushion, but erased two early birdies with a double bogey at the par-4 fifth hole. He'd eventually sit one back after Oosthuizen rolled in his sixth birdie of the day at the 11th hole at Durban Country Club in South Africa. Both would go on to trade one birdie for one bogey, meaning Jamieson would sign for an even-par 72. It's the first time since 2008 that a 54-hole leader up by at least five on the European Tour failed to win. "After being five down, to make it up after 12 holes, I was really chuffed about that," said Oosthuizen, who posted 16-under 272. "I just played really well all day." Thongchai Jaidee (Sunday 68) finished alone in third place, two strokes back. Padraig Harrington (68) took solo fourth, four adrift of the champion.
