The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Chipper Jones tore meniscus in his left knee Thursday and will undergo arthroscopic surgery.
This is unrelated to the right knee that sidelined him for 36 games last season. Jones sustained the injury while running in the outfield before Thursday's retirement press conference and will have surgery on Monday. Assuming he doesn't have a setback, he could be back in time for the Braves' home opener.
