Maynard vs. Guida Booked for UFC’s Return to Atlantic City

The UFC's return to Atlantic City, N.J., will feature two of the best lightweights in the world looking to get back on track.

Gray Maynard and Clay Guida have agreed to meet in the main event of UFC on FX 4, scheduled for June 22 at Revel Atlantic City, a venue that can hold approximately 5,500 fans. The fight is scheduled for five rounds.

Maynard (10-1-1, 1 NC) hasn't fought since losing to Frankie Edgar at UFC 136 via fourth-round TKO. Since then, Maynard has spent time training with the likes of Jose Aldo in Brazil and the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, Calif, while also deciding to leave his team at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. "The Bully" has yet to announce which gym he will call home for this upcoming fight.

Guida (29-12) will be looking to get back on track following his November loss to Benson Henderson at UFC on FOX 1. That loss snapped a four-fight winning streak for “The Carpenter.”

UFC on FX 4 will mark the promotion's first event in Atlantic City since UFC 53 in June 2005.
