Fowler sets the early HTOC pace at 3-under

Rickie Fowler had the honor of hitting the PGA TOUR's first tee shot of 2013 three times, and now holds the year's first clubhouse lead at 3-under-par 35-35=70 at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
Fowler circled five birdies in his first lap around the Plantation Course at Kapalua, with a 22'9" exclamation point on the par-4 16th the longest. Ending the round with birdies on three of his final seven holes positions him well entering the second round of the 54-hole tournament. His 15 GIR were the highlight of his play. The celebration will be short-lived, as he now has to take on the hilly terrain for 18 more holes before he can call it a day.
