Donald takes a pass on the opener at Kapalua

Luke Donald did not commit to next week's Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
The lid-lifter of the 2013 season will go without seven of the winners in 2012, including the Brit who won a playoff at the Transitions Championship. He'd go on to polish off another terrific year abroad with a win at the Dunlop Phoenix to go with his title at the BMW PGA Championship. About the only thing that didn't go his way in 2012 wasn't necessarily his fault as he forfeited his spot atop the world ranking to Rory McIlroy.
