New York - The UFC hasn't held an event in Atlantic City, N.J., since June 4, 2005, but according to UFC president Dana White, there is a strong chance they'll return to "AC" this summer.
"I think it is," White said following Saturday night's UFC 143 event when asked if the rumors of a return to Atlantic City are true. "I think it is true."
White added that nothing is set in stone just yet. The UFC is also looking at returning to Montreal and Abu Dhabi, plus a debut in Hawaii this year.
"They're all still a work in a progress," White said. "None of them are set in stone."
The organization has held six events in Atlantic City: UFC 53, UFC 50, UFC 41, UFC 31, UFC 30 and UFC 28.
UFC has already announced that it will return to New Jersey later this spring for UFC on FOX 3 on May 5. The main event for that card will be New Jersey's own Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz.
Nate Diaz continued his dominant return to the UFC lightweight division and defeated Jim Miller by submission in the second round Saturday night.
Can anyone top the big three of Silva, Jones, and GSP as the best pound-for-pounder fighter?
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Junior Dos Santos flattened Frank Mir with a huge right hand and finished him on the ground at 3:04 of the second round Saturday night, emphatically defending his heavyweight title at UFC 146 on Saturday night.
