Drew Brees was voted as the Associated Press' 2011 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
In addition to breaking Dan Marino's single-season passing record, Brees set league records for completions (468) and completion rate (71.2 percent) in 2011. Of the Associated Press' 50 total votes, Brees earned 43, with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finishing a distant second with seven. Rodgers, of course, made up for the "loss" by smoking Brees 48-2 in MVP voting.
