Stafford wins AP Comeback Player of the Year

Matthew Stafford was voted as the Associated Press' 2011 NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

After appearing in just three games in 2010, Stafford started all 16 games and led the Lions to their first postseason since 1999. His 5,082 passing yards and 41 touchdowns both ranked third in the NFL. Stafford received 21 to Browns' LB D'Qwell Jackson 16 votes. Also receiving votes: Panthers WR Steve Smith, Giants QB Eli Manning, Broncos DE Elvis Dumervil, and Patriots DE Andre Carter.
