Troy Matteson enjoyed a million-dollar season in 2012 despite a rocky start that saw him miss his first five cuts.
Matteson sprung to life in the heat of summer, racking up a runner-up to Zach Johnson in a playoff at the John Deere Classic. He would tack on top 20s in four of his next seven starts, including two in the FedExCup Playoffs. Full-season gamers will appreciate that he teed it up 32 times in 2012, which makes up for him missing 15 cuts. With no status other than past champions guaranteed past 2013, he will no doubt try and play early and often.
