Garcia takes the weather-shortened Johor Open
Dec. 16, 2012 - 1:50 PM ET

Sergio Garcia closed the Iskandar Johor Open with a bogey-free, 11-under-par 29-32=61 en route to a three-stroke victory.

Numerous delays due to inclement weather forced officials to reduce the tournament to 54 holes. Garcia posted 18-under 198 to Jonathan Moore's 201. The 2006 NCAA individual champion out of Oklahoma State also turned in a 61 today, but neither his nor Garcia's score will go in the books as course records at Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club in Johor Bahru, Malaysia since lift, clean and place was in effect. "It has been a long week obviously because of the weather and I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the week," Garcia said. "It has been a great experience as this is my first time in Malaysia and to be able to win is a treat."
