Gillis just missed his first win in 2012

Tom Gillis missed out on his first win in 2012 when Rory McIlroy closed out The Honda Classic, but it was a successful year none the less.
Gillis ended the year 72nd on the money list and a respectable 49th in the all-around ranking. This was his third-consecutive successful run on the PGA TOUR after graduating from the 2009 Web.com Tour. Looking ahead, The Honda Classic could be a solid play for him in 2013, as he also tied for 17th in that event in 2010.
