Dong-hwan Lee assumes the lead at Q School
Dec. 2, 2012 - 7:50 AM ET

With an 8-under-par 64 on PGA West's Stadium Course in his fourth round of the final stage of Q School, Dong-hwan Lee established a two-stroke lead with 36 holes to play.

The 25-year-old South Korean has completed 72 holes in 19-under 269. He plays full time on the Japan Golf Tour, where he was Rookie of the Year in 2006. His loop on Saturday was good for a share of low-round honors with Richard H. Lee (Stadium Course) and Tom Pernice, Jr. (Nicklaus Tournament Course). After four rounds, Richard H. Lee sits T2 with Vaughn Taylor, Edward Loar and 36- and 54-hole leader, Meen-Whee Kim. Other notables inside the bubble include Kris Blanks (272), Billy Horschel (272), Heath Slocum (273), Chez Reavie (273), Steven Bowditch (273), Michael Letzig (273), Robert Karlsson (274), Nicholas Thompson (274), Matt Jones (274), Camilo Villegas (275), Ross Fisher (275), Brad Fritsch (276), Andrew Svoboda (276), Erik Compton (276), Mathew Goggin (276), Kyle Reifers (276) and Pernice, Jr. (276). Thompson, Fritsch and Svoboda would not count against the top 25 and ties at the conclusion of Q School since they are already fully exempt in 2013 as Web.com Tour grads.
