Martin Brodeur reiterated his intentions to keep playing and not to retire after the Devils were defeated in six games by Los Angeles in the Stanley Cup Finals.
However, he will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 and doesn't want to make any final decisions until then. Brodeur did say that he can't imagine himself playing for any team except for New Jersey. "You never know I guess, but I don't want to," he said of playing for another club. "It will definitely have to be something really, really weird that I'm going to do that. I want to play. I think I want to play. I'll talk to my little girl and see what she thinks, but I'm sure she's going to want to see me play. But the Devils is what I am and what I believe in, and this is what I want to be."
