BSU has won 46 straight conference home games with the last loss to Idaho on Nov. 21, 1998 when the Broncos were in the WAC......Broncos quarterback Kellen Moore needs 18 completions for 1,000 in his career and, with a 151 passing yards against the Falcons, he would break into the top 10 in career passing yards. He is currently 12th with 12,596….Air Force is 0-2 in MWC play for the first time and winless in their first two conference games since 1994 when they were a WAC member…..The Falcons are 10th nationally with an average of 506 yards per game and the Broncos are 12th with 499.
Keep an eye on: Protection of Kellen Moore. The Broncos QB has been sacked only twice this season…..Air Force’s option attack is grounding out 336 yards per game to place third nationally. Asher Clark leads the way with 556 yards and a whopping 8.2 per carry. Nine Falcons ball carriers have at least one TD…..The Broncos’ running game has come to life the last couple games highlighted by 393 yards against Colorado State last week. Doug Martin ran for 201 yards giving three straight 100-yard games. Air Force is next to last (119th) against the run.
CFT: The Detroit Lions are expected to own and operate their own bowl game at Ford Field, starting play in 2014, according to a report by ESPN.
