A team trading with Denver would leap the quarterback-needy Steelers, who are also a contender to take Dart or one of the other first-round hopeful passers. The buzz around Dart also has Shedeur Sanders’ stock falling. The Colorado passer could wind up going early in the second round despite once being a contender for the No. 1 overall pick.

The deal is worth “up to” $6 million. Going on 33, Lockett is no longer a needle-mover following several seasons of decline in Seattle, but he does help deepen one of the league’s worst receiver corps ahead of Thursday’s expected addition of new franchise quarterback Cam Ward. Held under 1,000 yards each of the past two seasons, Lockett should not expect his WR3 fortunes to revive under the rookie quarterback. This is a classic move that could be more impactful in real life than fantasy. A leader with a decade of experience, Lockett will supply a sounding board and sure pair of hands in Nashville.

Joseph gets an average annual value of $21.5 million per year and is now the highest-paid safety in the league. The former third-round pick turns 25 this upcoming season and is coming off his first-career All-Pro year. He intercepted a league-high nine passes and totaled 83 tackles as a key piece of the Lions secondary. Joseph has 17 career interceptions and 31 passes defended through three seasons. The Lions lock up a young star for their defense with an extension for Aidan Hutchinson also due soon.

Led by first-time general manager John Spytek, the Vegas front office, per Russini, has spent “substantial time” doing “homework” on Jeanty after he rushed for nearly 4,000 yards and 33 touchdowns over his final two seasons at Boise State. There is reportedly some pushback about investing the team’s premium first rounder on Jeanty when it could be used to bolster an offensive line that Pro Football Focus graded as 2024’s 14th-best pass blocking unit and 29th-best run blocking unit. LSU’s Will Campbell and Alabama’s Tyler Booker could be targets for Vegas if they forgo Jeanty in the first. The Bears, according to Russini, are “hoping” Jeanty falls to them at No. 10.

“Minnesota, where Cousins played for six seasons, is the least likely of the trio to consummate a deal, and Cousins, who must approve any trade, is not eager to go to a team with a promising young quarterback,” according to The Athletic. Cousins, 37, is owned $45 million for the 2025 season, some of which the Falcons are going to have to eat if they’re going to part ways with the veteran quarterback. Cousins would figure to function as the starter in both Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Cousins could be traded during the first or second round of the NFL Draft, which begins Thursday night in Green Bay.

McShay, who has McMillan ranked 50th among 2025 prospects, said McMillan’s lack of effort showed up in his routes at Arizona even as he went for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024. “Tet didn’t like to workout and practice hard unless a scout was in attendance,” McShay said, pushing back on the frequent McMillan comp of Drake London, who McShay described as “a dog.” On McMillan, McShay also said he “didn’t think he showed attention to detail.” Widely considered to be the top wideout in the draft, McMillan has held pre-draft meetings with the Patriots, Saints and Cowboys. In New England, he would instantly be the team’s No. 1 receiver.

Really tough.” Leonard, who began his collegiate career at Duke before transferring to Notre Dame in 2024, threw 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season while scoring 17 touchdowns on the ground along with 906 rushing yards. He easily led all college QBs in EPA per rush last year. An NFL scouting director told the publication, “I don’t know if Leonard gets enough credit for his toughness. I thought he did such a good job of getting his team as far as he got them, and at the combine, he looked confident and comfortable out there playing quarterback.” Leonard, who turns 23 in September, is at best a Day Three draft selection who would likely have to fight for a roster spot as a rookie.

Schefter said on SportsCenter Wednesday morning that Milroe is more likely than not to slip into the second round of the draft after gaining some late hype as a potential first round selection for a quarterback-needy team. Schefter added that Milroe — who totaled nearly 1,600 rushing yards over four seasons in college — could quickly become “the most dangerous running quarterback” in the NFL. The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo said last week that the Steelers, who have the 21st pick in the first round, are unlikely to select Milroe if he’s still on the board. That would almost guarantee that he’ll fall into the second round on Friday.
