Imanaga was stellar again on a night where the Cubs only provided him one run on offense. Unfortunately, a disastrous eighth inning, which he entered with 95 pitches alread on the ledger, quickly went awry for the lefty, who gave up a single a two-run homer to Jurickson Profar in the frame to get saddled with the loss. Outside of the disastrous eighth, Imanaga didn’t run into too much trouble in this one, stranding only one runner in scoring position while limiting the Padres to only singles through his first seven innings. He still sits at a perfect 5-0 on the season, but will look to earn his sixth win on Monday against the Braves.

Williams got off to a strong start in this one, striking out eight of the first 15 batters he faced while allowing just one baserunner. It was a strong outing for Williams, whose eight strikeouts tied a career-high. He was pulled after 77 pitches, with short outings being par for the course for him this season. Williams lowered his ERA to 1.96 on the year and has allowed one earned run or less in five of his seven starts on the year. Williams will look to continue his hot start on Monday against the lowly White Sox.

Brutal. Contreras was struck directly on the left forearm by a swing, not a backswing, from Mets designated hitter J.D. Martinez and was immediately lifted from the contest. The 31-year-old backstop is facing a lengthy absence, which is a significant loss for the Cardinals, and fantasy managers as well. It’ll be Iván Herrera handling the bulk of the catching duties with Pedro Pagés coming back up from Triple-A Memphis.

Semien set the tone with a leadoff blast -- his sixth round-tripper of the season -- off Athletics starter Ross Stripling before adding a pair of run-scoring hits as part of Texas’ 10-run explosion in the ensuing frame. The 33-year-old ironman has shown zero signs of slowing down as he approaches his mid-30’s, batting .266 (42-for-158) with 27 runs scored, six homers, 27 RBI and one stolen base through 37 contests.

Bellinger will make his return to Chicago’s lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Padres following a two-week absence due to a rib fracture. The 28-year-old slugger was off to a bit of a slow start at the dish this season, batting .226/.320/.440 with five homers and 17 RBI in 97 plate appearances over 22 contests before a collision with the center-field wall back on April 23 resulted in a rib injury. Fantasy managers should make sure he’s back in their respective lineups moving forward.

What is there to say? Ohtani became the first designated hitter for the Dodgers to homer and steal two bases since Eric Young did it back in 1998. End of similarities between Ohtani and Young. The two-way star absolutely blistered a two-run homer in the first for his 11th roundtripper of the year, and he’s already driven in 27 runs. There are not enough superlatives to describe how good of a baseball player Shohei Ohtani is.

As had been speculated, Steven Kwan will land on the 10-day injured list with his hamstring injury and the Guardians will add Manzardo to the roster in his place. The 23-year-old slugger has been lighting the world on fire at Triple-A Columbus — hitting .303/.375/.642 with nine homers and 20 RBI through his first 29 games. He has a chance to step in as an immediate impact performer from a fantasy perspective and should be scooped up in any leagues where he may be available.

Bochy termed the injury as slightly more severe than a Grade 1 strain and noted that the 22-year-old outfielder will be facing a 3-4 week absence. It’s a tough break for fantasy managers who will need to be sure to have an alternative option in place for the next month or so while Langford recovers from the injury. Ezequiel Duran started in his place on Sunday and will likely see increased action while Langford is shelved.

Pepiot took a liner off his leg on a ball that was hit 107 mph. The right-hander threw after and tried to stay in, but Rays manager Kevin Cash wouldn’t allow it. Pepiot will likely undergo imaging, and his status for his start next week should be updated shortly after. Manuel Rodriguez has taken over on the mound.

This is a substantial loss to the Dodgers’ bullpen and for fantasy managers who roster Phillips. The right-hander will be out of action for at least two weeks, and managers will want to make sure to follow for further updates on his status. Blake Treinen was activated off the injured list in the corresponding transaction, and he’s someone who could see save chances with Phillips out.
