Albert Pujols reached 2,000 career hits in Friday's win over the Cubs.
Pujols got there with a double down the third base line in the bottom of the eighth inning. He's the fifth Cardinal to reach 2,000 hits -- joining Stan Musial, Lou Brock, Rogers Hornsby and Enos Slaughter -- and the 12th fastest player in MLB history to reach the mark. El Hombre finished the night 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored.
