Charles' 30 points, 10 boards lead Sun past Fever

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Tina Charles had 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Connecticut Sun to a 73-61 victory against the Indiana Fever on Wednesday, handing the defending champions their fourth straight loss.

Kara Lawson scored 12 points and Kalana Greene added 10 points and nine rebounds as the Sun ended a three-game losing streak.

Shavonte Zellous scored 14 points and Tamika Catchings added 11 for the Fever (1-4). Rookie Layshia Clarendon had a career-high nine points and four assists.

Trailing by eight at the start of the fourth quarter, Idiana scored the first seven points of the final period to pull to 60-59 on Erlana Larkins' layup with 6:53 remaining.

However, Connecticut closed with a 13-2 run as Indiana went 1 for 13 with three turnovers over the final 6:11.
