Stephan Bonnar will return to action at UFC on Versus 5 against Karlos Vemola, NBCSports.com confirmed with sources close to the fight on Tuesday.
UFC on Versus 5 is slated to take place on Aug. 14 at The Bradley Center in Milwaukee. The event has yet to be officially announced by the organization.
The 34-year-old Bonnar (14-7) is riding a two-fight winning streak after losing three fights in a row. He most recently beat Igor Pokrajac in December via unanimous decision.
Vemola (8-1) won his light heavyweight debut at UFC 122 in November, knocking out Seth Petruzelli in the first round. The 25-year-old Czech fighter dropped down to 205 pounds after losing his UFC debut to heavyweight Jon Madsen at UFC 116.
Vemola was supposed to fight Luiz Cane at UFC 128 in March, but an injury forced him out of the bout.
Already announced for the UFC's debut in Milwaukee is Amir Sadollah vs. Duane Ludwig and Cole Miller vs. T.J. O'Brien.
UFC President Dana White (above) embarrassed after Gray Maynard beat Clay Guida by split decision to win a lightweight bout and the main event of the UFC card in Atlantic City.
Can anyone top the big three of Silva, Jones, and GSP as the best pound-for-pounder fighter?
