UFC on Versus 5 is slated to take place on Aug. 14 at The Bradley Center in Milwaukee. The event has yet to be officially announced by the organization.
The 34-year-old Bonnar (14-7) is riding a two-fight winning streak after losing three fights in a row. He most recently beat Igor Pokrajac in December via unanimous decision.
Vemola (8-1) won his light heavyweight debut at UFC 122 in November, knocking out Seth Petruzelli in the first round. The 25-year-old Czech fighter dropped down to 205 pounds after losing his UFC debut to heavyweight Jon Madsen at UFC 116.
Vemola was supposed to fight Luiz Cane at UFC 128 in March, but an injury forced him out of the bout.
Already announced for the UFC's debut in Milwaukee is Amir Sadollah vs. Duane Ludwig and Cole Miller vs. T.J. O'Brien.
