Kobe Bryant (ankle) is doing "constant rehabilitation" with Lakers trainer Gary Vitti and physical therapist Dr. Judy Seto, and his status for Friday's game is currently unknown.
A Lakers source told ESPN Los Angeles that Kobe's chances of playing over the game or two are "not good," but that's an obvious sentiment given that Kobe is dealing with a severe ankle sprain. Bryant tweeted a photo of his ankle on Thursday and it did not look promising, so he'll have to recover in miraculous fashion in order to play against the Pacers on Friday. If he is forced to sit out, Jodie Meeks or Darius Morris could draw the start at shooting guard, but Meeks would be the beneficiary of Bryant's absence.
