New York - What Wanderlei Silva wants, Wanderlei Silva apparently gets.

"The Axe Murderer" has been publicly campaigning for weeks via his Twitter account that he wanted to fight Chris Leben, while the UFC appeared set on having Silva fight, first, Brian Stann and then Vitor Belfort.

However, late Monday evening UFC.com announced that Silva will in fact fight Leben at UFC 132 on July 2.

The event, headlined by Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber for the UFC bantamweight title, will air live on pay-per-view from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Silva (33-10-1, 1 NC) hasn't competed since February 2010 when he defeated Michael Bisping at UFC 110. He was scheduled to fight Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 116 last July, but a knee injury forced him to withdraw from the fight.

Leben (25-7) is coming off a loss to Brian Stann at UFC 125. The defeat snapped a three-fight winning streak for "The Crippler."

Other fights scheduled for UFC 132 include Tito Ortiz vs. Ryan Bader, Evan Dunham vs. George Sotiropoulos, Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller and Dennis Siver vs. Matt Wiman.
