Roman Hamrlik will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday amid reports from RDS that the Capitals are entertaining offers for the veteran defenseman.
"Hamrlik has been offered a few teams, but the Capitals are very demanding," said Renaud Lavoie of RDS. He leads the team with 119 blocked shots and has contributed 10 points in 55 games this season. Hamrlik signed a two-year deal with Washington worth $7 million this past summer. Coach Dale Hunter said Hamrlik is out because of performance though.
