Cervelli has broken foot, done for a month
Francisco Cervelli - C - New York Yankees
March 4, 2011 - 3:05 PM ET

Francisco Cervelli has a fractured foot and will be out for at least the next four weeks.

Cervelli fouled a ball off his left foot during a spring game on Wednesday. An initial MRI came back inconclusive, but the Yankees sent his test results back to team physicians in New York and a fracture was found. The injury should open things up for catching prospect Jesus Montero to make the team as an active backup behind Russell Martin. Jorge Posada will not be moved from DH.
