Isaiah Thomas exploded for a season-high 30 points on 9-of-18 shooting (4-of-6 from deep, 8-of-9 from the line) with six rebounds and nine assists over 37 minutes in Friday's loss to the Hawks.
When asked how IT played after the game, Keith Smart dismissively said "he played okay," and mid-sentence talked about how the Kings gave 50 points up in the paint. Thomas had nothing to do with that, and it's pretty clear that Smart just has something against point guards. It's sort of sad to see that the Kings could have given Thomas the ball last year and put their fans through a lot less misery -- but then again, that was probably part of the ownership's plan. Cousins went for 26 and 13 in the loss.
