Kupchak: Lakers will not trade Dwight Howard

Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak reiterated on Tuesday that the Lakers will not trade Dwight Howard before Thursday's deadline.
Kupchak has now stated publicly at least three times that Howard will not be dealt before Thursday's deadline, but with an uncertain future as he heads toward unrestricted free agency, Kupchak's words won't stop the rumors from flying. Regardless, Kupchak has refused to take calls on Howard, who is still seen as the Lakers' centerpiece of the future despite a rocky beginning in Los Angeles.
