· Was the owner, CEO, and Chairman of Whitmire Distribution, a wholesale pharmaceutical company before retiring about 15 years ago

· Played in the 2004 WSOP Main Event, and made it through the first day but was so short-stacked he didn’t return for Day 2 but went home instead

· Established the M&M Whitmire Family Foundation 13 years ago which supports local charities in the Sacramento area involved in children’s issues and senior citizens’ issues

· Once celebrated his birthday at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where his family and friends also invited Phil Hellmuth to attend his party.  Hellmuth did, and the two played a special heads-up match, which Hellmuth lost.
