Coach Lawrence Frank said Andre Drummond would have been promoted to the starting five last week if he hadn't gone down with a back injury.
This one will rub some salt in owner's wounds. Drummond was averaging 7.5 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 0.9 steals in just 19.7 minutes before fracturing a vertebrae. Fantasies of what he could have done with a starting job and 30 minutes were warranted. Drummond should be on waiver wires in redraft formats now that he's out 4-6 weeks, but he remains a must-hold in Dynasty formats. At the very least, we'd expect Drummond to open the 2013-14 season as the Pistons' starting power forward.
