Carmelo Anthony puts up 42 points in loss
Carmelo Anthony - F - New York Knicks
Feb. 10, 2013 - 4:45 PM ET

Carmelo Anthony shot 14-of-26 from the field for 42 points with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers in a loss to the Clippers on Sunday.

He got hot in the third quarter with 18 points, but he didn't get much help with only Raymond Felton getting into double figures in scoring. Melo has been outstanding in his last four games, averaging 34.0 points, 8.8 boards and 3.8 triples on 51.1 percent from the field. He should have no problem maintaining his season average of 29.0 points.
