Ricky Rubio says he sees Jason Kidd as an example of the kind of shooter he can become.
Rubio is notorious for his poor shooting. The Spanish PG owns a career field goal percentage of 34.9 percent and a career 3-point percentage of 30.4 percent, including 11.1 percent from deep this season. If he wants to improve, Kidd is a sound example of how to do it. Kidd was awful as a rookie and gradually worked on his stroke to improve. Rubio said it's about mindset as much as it is mechanics. "If your mentality is to not be a shooter, it's hard to change," he said. "You have to work on that and become a shooter." Rubio is slowly returning to form after his ACL injury and could make serious fantasy noise next season if he can add improved percentages to his game.
