A source tells ESPN's Marc Stein the Clippers' chances of re-signing Chris Paul in the offseason are "99.5 percent."
Paul, who returned from his bruised knee to a bit of a rough outing Friday, will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time this summer. The Clippers can offer Paul the most appealing contract, but as long as he's healthy there will be plenty of teams willing to empty the vaults for CP3. That makes the next few months even more important, as Paul will have to prove he's beyond the knee issue and the Clips will have to show Paul they're a legit title contender.
