Pau Gasol was diagnosed with a strained plantar fascia in his right foot on Tuesday and he will have an MRI on Wednesday.
Not good. He tried to play through the injury for two possessions, but Mike D'Antoni saw enough of Gasol limping badly to take him out of the game. He's been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot this year and the degree of his aggravation won't be known until tomorrow's evaluation. Gasol should be considered doubtful to face the Celtics on Thursday and he could be looking at a multiple-game absence. Antawn Jamison and Earl Clark would gain even more value with Pau out of the lineup. Clark should be owned in all leagues while Jamison should be owned in all standard leagues at this point. Gasol finished Tuesday's game with 15 points, four boards, two assists and two blocks in a win over the Nets.
