Danny Ainge said there have been no discussions about trading Paul Piece after losing Rajon Rondo (torn ACL) for the season.
Ainge said he wants to see Pierce retire as a Celtic. Since Rondo was lost Sunday, there have been rumblings that Ainge might break up the team by trading Pierce and fellow veteran Kevin Garnett. While it's difficult to imagine Pierce in another uniform, let's not forget that Ainge hasn't always been the most upfront executive when it comes to trade talks. As long as Pierce stays in Boston, his fantasy value should increase as he takes a bigger role in the Rondo-less offense.
