Blue Jays signed RHP Jon Rauch to a one-year, $3.5 million contract with a $3.75 million option for 2012.
He'll make $3.5 million in 2011, while the option includes a $250,000 buyout. Rauch drew very little interest this winter despite posting a strong 3.12 ERA and 46/14 K/BB ratio for the Twins in 2010 and converting 21 of 25 save chances in place of the injured Joe Nathan. He should do well for the Blue Jays in a setup role and might get a chance to close if Octavio Dotel looks shaky at all. Rauch may be worth a late-round pick in fantasy leagues.
