Dwight aggravates shoulder injury again
Dwight Howard - C - Los Angeles Lakers
Jan. 31, 2013 - 2:20 AM ET

Dwight Howard aggravated his right shoulder injury again in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game against the Suns and did not return.

Uh oh. He reached up, grabbed his shoulder and went to the ground in agonizing pain. This is the third time this month he's dealt with the problem and his separated labrum may have sustained more damage. Dwight is trying to avoid season-ending surgery with hopes of putting it off until the summer, and will likely undergo an MRI on Thursday. But for now, we're going to call him day-to-day, as he could feel better tomorrow, which is what happened the last time he hurt the shoulder. He says he wants to play on Friday, and he very well may, but If he's going to miss time, Pau Gasol and Earl Clark will see even more minutes, and owners should cross their fingers that he's able to bounce back and avoid the knife.
