Elton Brand disappears after two quick fouls

Elton Brand came off the bench behind Bernard James and picked up two quick fouls, finishing with just two points and two rebounds on 1-of-6 shooting in 17 minutes on Tuesday.
James played just 15 minutes for 10 points, three boards and a block, while Chris Kaman was out with a concussion. A big man is going to have to step up at some point for the Mavs, and our guess is that it will be Brand. But he's in a slump and Rick Carlisle is electing to play small lineups right now. Brand is no longer a must-own player, but we wouldn't be surprised to see him bounce back sooner than later.
