Allen Iverson declines offer to join D-League

Allen Iverson has decided to pass on an offer from the Mavericks' D-League affiliate.
Iverson badly wants back in the NBA, but he's not willing to submit himself to buses and games for the Texas Legends in places like Sioux Falls. "I thank Donnie [Nelson] and Dallas for the consideration and while I think the D-League is a great opportunity, it is not the route for me," Iverson tweeted Tuesday. He apparently fails to realize that putting together a non-disruptive season while swallowing his pride would do wonders for his image. Now 37, Iverson is just about out of chances to get back in the league.
