Damian Lillard abused by Kyrie Irving
Damian Lillard - G - Portland Trail Blazers
Jan. 17, 2013 - 3:31 AM ET

Damian Lillard had 13 points and seven assists on 3-of-9 shooting in 36 minutes in Wednesday's loss against Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers.

Lillard has to be getting tired, along with the other Blazers starters, as the team is getting almost nothing from the bench. Lillard is averaging a whopping 38 minutes per game on the season, and an even more ridiculous 41 minutes over his last five. If there is such a thing as a rookie wall, Lillard is a serious candidate to hit it, as his minutes have been off the charts this season. In fact, he's sixth in the league in minutes played at 38.4, trailing only LeBron James (38.5), Kobe Bryant (38.6), teammate Nicolas Batum (39), Kevin Durant (39.4) and Luol Deng (40), which is pretty good company to keep. Rookie wall or not, Lillard is having a great season and is young enough to handle the abuse.
